As a teaching artist, I urge students to see professional development and public engagement as integral parts of their training and future lives as practicing artists. I have led my students to participate in community art-making events, conferences, exhibitions, and print exchanges. I also co-sponsor the BRCC Art Club—a collective of student artists that is quite visible in the greater Baton Rouge community.

In addition to During my time at Baton Rouge Community College, I have worked tirelessly to bolster its printmaking and studio arts programs by developing curriculum, securing funding opportunities, and managing the studio facilities. My efforts have resulted in numerous grants and funds to expand and reorganize BRCC's Frazier Art Annex.
In 2020, I was awarded with the Michael S. and Leslie Greely Albritton Endowed Professorship. I made the above video to highlight how the endowment helped secure technology needed to transform studio curriculum for distant learning.
