I created Recognitions during quarantine. Working from home slowed my days, stretching and blurring the hours. I felt ravenous for moments when I was not completely absorbed in the enormity. I looked through photos from my recent past and saw familiar narratives in new ways. Previously mundane moments now seem both reckless and under appreciated and the shifts in perception and memory fascinating. I recognized that these shifts happen in an instant and explored the connections and inferences in a different, but familiar way.
